The Wildlife Vet

Dr. Sam, a South Texas native with nearly two decades of veterinary experience, has worked with over 100 ranches and has specialized knowledge in large exotic wildlife. He was the USA veterinarian for the largest Rhino translocation in history, moving White Rhinos from Namibia to Texas, and continues to manage the herd. Dr. Sam has a passion for innovation in veterinary medicine, particularly in wildlife conservation, and has worked with more than 35 veterinary clinics across the U.S. He is one of the few veterinarians licensed to handle potent opiates for capturing megavertebrates like giraffes and elephants. When not practicing, he enjoys flying, hunting, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
